We have an immediate opening for an Interior Designer. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years experience and experience working on multiple projects at once. This is 100% onsite in office.

Specific duties include:

  • Assist senior-level Designers, in all assigned project-related tasks.
  • Lead and manage projects from inception to completion under the guidance of senior-level Designers, including the Principal.
  • Prepare and execute all phases of design projects, encompassing budgeting, scheduling, planning, design, documentation, specifications, and construction. This includes selecting and specifying furniture and finishes.
  • Create and update interior design packages for construction.
  • Develop working drawings, 3D models, and presentations to support the design team.
  • Direct and oversee tasks assigned to Junior Designers for project-related activities.
  • Coordinate with various departments (e.g., Accounting, FF&E/Purchasing) on project-related matters.
  • Arrange and attend meetings with Clients as necessary.
  • Assist in or lead client meetings and presentations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and vendors.
  • Mentor Junior staff and support Senior staff in team management to ensure service quality and project progress.
  • Manage day-to-day project coordination with consultants, contractors, client representatives, trades, and suppliers.
  • Participate in consultant meetings.
  • Handle project documentation including meeting minutes, emails, schedules, and design concept boards (physical or electronic).
  • Review work for quality control, ensuring accuracy in project details such as drawings, specifications, notes, finishes, and documentation.
  • Conduct job site visits and meetings to verify design accuracy on site.
  • Attend team meetings to contribute project updates and insights.
  • Oversee project installation processes.
  • Monitor and rectify deficiencies post-installation in a timely manner, ensuring refinements as needed.

Qualifications:

Post secondary education in Interior Design

Ability to work onsite (not remote)

Drivers license

Revit skills

Minimum 3 years experience
