Baptist Health, the largest nonprofit hospital system in Kentucky, seeks a Radiation Therapy Medical Physicist for full-time day shift. Responsibilities include planning cancer treatment courses under Radiation Oncologist direction, reviewing treatment plans and quality assurance mechanisms, daily output/dose measurements, maintenance report reviews, monthly equipment calibration, overseeing new equipment installation and acceptance testing, and establishing quality assurance in the department. The physicist will also participate in process improvement projects and prepare reports for monthly QA meetings. Equipment used includes Varian TrueBeam Accelerators, Varian Bravos HDR, Varian Aria & Eclipse, Radformation ClearCheck and AutoContour, Varian Portal Dosimetry, SNC 3D Scanning System, SNC IC Profiler, Mobius 3D & DoseLab. Requirements: MS in therapeutic medical physics or medical radiation physics, Board Certified or eligible for certification by the American Board of Radiology (ABR) with certification required within six years, 3-5 years clinical experience, advanced knowledge of treatment planning systems and machines, strong clinical knowledge of medical radiation physics, flexibility for on-call weekends/holidays, strong communication skills, self-motivation, and experience with SRS, SBRT, Eclipse TPS, and Aria EHR preferred.
